These systems produce clean, low-carbon and carbon-negative renewable natural gas (RNG) from organic waste sources including landfills, wastewater treatment plants, dairy farms, and food waste.The company is the only biogas upgrading provider offering the three main technologieswater wash, pressure swing adsorption, and membrane separationwith over 30 years of industry experience, patented proprietary technology, more than 100 hydrogen sulfide treatment systems sold, and over 135 biogas upgrading systems installed across 19 countries, including many of the largest RNG production facilities in the world.Position: Manager, Health and SafetyThe Manager, Health and Safety is responsible for overseeing and developing comprehensive health and safety programs for global project sites. This includes creating and implementing policies and procedures that ensure compliance with local, national, and international health and safety regulations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive health and safety policies and standard operating procedures in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.Possess a solid understanding of global health and safety regulations/legislation, including DSEAR 2002/COMPEX and PSSR 2000.Collaborate directly with Field Service Engineers, Service and Commissioning Managers, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure real-time safety compliance and effective risk management at job sites.Conduct frequent and regular site visits to monitor safety practices and collaborate with relevant personnel and clients.Proactively identify areas where training or certifications are required under applicable legislation, internal policies, or contract obligations. Develop and lead engaging health and safety training programs for both employees and contractors.Perform regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement effective mitigation strategies.Work closely with stakeholders to develop and maintain emergency response and crisis management plans.Lead detailed investigations and analyze data to uncover trends, driving ongoing improvement of health and safety practices.Collaborate with the Director of QHS to establish performance metrics that evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs.Stay informed of industry best practices and innovations to ensure the companys programs reflect the highest standards of safety.Collaborate effectively within a globally diverse and multicultural team.Education & ExperienceBachelors degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years experience in a hands-on, construction-related health and safety role, ideally within the biogas, construction, or a similar sector.Deep knowledge of local, national, and international health and safety laws and standards.Significant experience with HAZOP/LOPA analysis.Familiarity with international safety standards including IECEx Marking, NEC/CEC Marking, ATEX/COMPEX, DSEAR 2002, PSSR 2000.Demonstrated ability to develop SOPs and provide comprehensive training to internal and external parties.Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time to visit job sites and regional offices to ensure health and safety compliance.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to improving safety outcomes.Self-starter with a proactive mindset and ability to work independently.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
