Through leveraging your knowledge of industry best practices and best-in-class sourcing methodologies, you will support vendor relationships, ensure business continuity in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and maintain effective contract management and global partnerships. Negotiation and cost management skills will be an integral part of this role.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Sr. Procurement Manager of Dufferin Construction & Ontario Materials, the incumbent is responsible on the following functions:Plan and manage company's overall sourcing strategy, leveraging industry best practices, commodity experience, sourcing methodology and global partnershipsGenerate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategiesCoordinate the implementation of the awarded programs Understands company's operations needs and requirementsManaging RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, including schedules of compliance in detail, defining criteria to meet and evaluating bids.Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, reviewing supplier scorecards, and proposing alternative solutions while continuously seeking to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers through strategic partnerships.Managing supplier relationships including the tracking of supplier performance, overall supply availability, pricing, and quality.Build relationships with vendors and key suppliers.Seeks to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers through contracts and strategic partnershipsDeveloping, implementing, and maintaining savings and cost avoidance projects, ensuring to track and adjust savings planned vs. carried out.Ensuring to gather all necessary documentation from required internal and external stakeholders.Execute analyses and make suggestions for improvement of overall sourcing strategy.Responsible for gathering, preparing, and managing documents like quotes, proposals and purchase terms and conditions from suppliers. Manage Requests for Information, Requests for Quotes or Requests for Proposal, including schedules of compliance in their details, define the criteria to meet and evaluate the bids from the suppliers Maintaining strong internal stakeholder relationships through consistent follow-up and communication.Proactively resolve issues (i.e., material shortages, quality issues, etc.) with vendors and internal customers using organizational savvy and critical thinking skills.Ensuring and managing contracts and overall procurement process is adhered to and in compliance with legal and financial processes.Requirements:Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Business Administrator, Procurement/Supply Chain and/or 4+ years of experience within a similar type of role.Understanding of Building Materials and Construction businessSound knowledge in negotiation, cost analysis, data analysis and custom reporting.Previous experience working within a fast-paced, matrix driven environment.Agility to work independently with the ability to shift priorities in a fast-growing environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.Comfortable managing and reporting on multiple projects concurrently.Ability to concisely communicate escalations, requirements and issues to suppliers, peers, management, and customers with clarity.Keeps an entrepreneurial mindset, deep curiosity, and a passion for learning & growth.Demonstrates strong self-efficacy and ability to take initiative in problem solving.Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate and the ability to persuade, influence and motivate.Continuous improvement mindset.SAP, Ariba, Coupa experience preferredAvailable for occasional travel.Visit our website for more information: Group Inc. recognizes Canadas diverse landscape.
