PCS is committed to creating an engaging and enriching learning environment rooted in a Christian worldview that focuses on educating the whole child.About the Vice Principal of LearningThe Vice Principal of Learning will be a key member of the Leadership Team, working closely with the Principal to foster a positive Christian learning environment and ensure the effective administration of the school. This full-time, year-round position combines instructional leadership, staff development, curriculum oversight, and operational responsibilities.Specifically, in this role youd be responsible for:Instructional LeadershipSupporting the implementation of the schools academic vision and goalsEnsuring instructional practices align with curriculum standards and best practicesSupporting teachers with curriculum content and instructional methodologiesFostering relationships with families to create a collaborative approach to support student successAnalyzing student achievement data, including MAP Growth assessments, to inform curriculum planning and instructional strategies that support student growthStaff Supervision & DevelopmentSupporting the hiring, training, and evaluation of school staffPromoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvementOrganizing staff meetings to align around strategy and instructional prioritiesMentoring staff and supporting professional growthLeading the development and implementation of a robust teacher evaluation process to ensure instructional excellence and support professional developmentAdministrative & Operational ResponsibilitiesContributing to the development and implementation of school policies and proceduresReviewing admissions applications and administering assessmentsSupporting staff with both professional and personal challengesUtilizing digital tools such as Google Docs, Sheets, and Classroom, as well as the FACTS Student Information System, to support effective school operationsQualificationsWe are looking for someone with:A Provincial Teacher Qualification (OCT or equivalent)A Bachelors of Education Degree (a Masters in Education is an asset)57 years of teaching experience, ideally including prior leadership experience in an educational setting (e.g. curriculum head or team lead)Experience teaching across multiple divisions (a Christian school setting is an asset)Demonstrated comfort with data analysis and educational technology, with the ability to help lead PCS toward more structured, systematized practicestech-savviness is essential, as data will increasingly inform strategic and instructional decisionsStrong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skillsFamiliarity with curriculum development and instructional strategiesA vibrant Christian faith and active member of an evangelical churchIf you meet some but not all of these requirements, we still encourage you to apply.
