Operational Excellence LeaderWe are recruiting for an Operational Excellence Leader to join our client who is a global leader in the design, construction, and servicing of nuclear power plants.Locations: Based in either Pickering or Kincardine, ON. Relocation packages available in Canada.On site Monday- Friday.Salary- $100,000- $140,000 per year (negotiable)Travel between both offices, expenses covered.Training may include travel to the US. In this position, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Continuous Improvement & Leadership:Support management in developing a vision for ongoing business process enhancements.Implement Lean methodologies pragmatically to drive impactful, value-added improvements.Lead cultural transformation efforts to enhance engagement in operational excellence initiatives.Identify inefficiencies and operational waste, spearheading corrective actions.Training & Development:Deliver training on Quality & Continuous Improvement methodologies, including A3 Problem Solving, 8D Event Resolution, Visual Management, and Manager in Field techniques.Facilitate Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) sessions.Lead hands-on workshops covering Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, and Process Mapping.Facilitation & Coaching:Guide teams through Here & Now meetings, A3 projects, FMEA sessions, and other quality tools.Support Voice of the Customer initiatives and drive 8D Event Resolutions.Lead Visual Management Meetings to enhance performance tracking.Operational Implementation Support:Develop and maintain the Master Plan for annual objectives.Drive Digital Transformation through process mapping and A3 initiatives.Reporting & Collaboration:Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including Net Promoter Score (VoC), Excel in Quality, FMEA, A3 Progress, and Master Plan execution.Engage with the global Operational Excellence (OPEX) network to share best practices and insights.Qualifications & Experience:Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.Experience: Minimum of six years in a relevant field; experience in the nuclear industry is an asset.Skills & Competencies:Proficiency in Windows-based applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, simulation software).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.Excellent communication skills, including report writing, presentation, and facilitation.Expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, Kaizen, process and change management, advanced statistical techniques).Proven leadership experience in coaching and training across all organizational levels.Hands-on experience with LEAN problem-solving tools (A3, 8D, Process Mapping) and methods (5S, FMEA).Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.Adaptability in shifting priorities, working both independently and as part of a team.Strong servant leadership approach to driving organizational change.
