If this sounds like a fit, wed love you to be a part of it.About the role:The Senior Pension Solutions Specialist, reporting to the Vice President, Pension Solutions, will play a pivotal role in executing CAATs growth strategy to serve 400,000 members by 2040. The role is responsible to develop strategic relationships, enhancing our presence, expanding our reach, and driving business growth of CAATs modern defined benefit plan (DBplus) with unionized groups of employees.This position is critical to meeting our purpose which is to bring awareness to workplaces on the unique characteristics of the CAAT pension plan and provide predictable and sustainable pensions for all Canadians. The role requires a highly collaborative, people focused individual with labour relations and client relationship management experience to drive interest with unions and their employers in improving retirement outcomes.As the Newest Member of our Team, You'll:Work with our Pension Solutions marketing, research, data and stakeholder teams to optimize opportunities to successfully penetrate unionized workplaces.Connect and build relationships with bargaining representatives and local presidents on CAATs value proposition.Utilize strong communication, listening and customer relationship management skills to turn qualified leads and proactive outreach into growth in plan membership.Support bargaining teams in socializing with their membership how joining CAAT can lead to better retirement outcomes.Facilitate meetings and presentations, virtually and in person.Support both unions and employers at the bargaining table, addressing and solutioning any concerns on joining with the assistance of our Decision Support team.Work collaboratively with internal business partners and other key stakeholders.Record and manage activities in CRM software (Salesforce) to help track progress and provide reporting to CAATs onboarding team of groups that could be joining.Represent CAAT at some union conferences and conventions.To Succeed you Bring:Minimum of 5 years of experience with unions.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a client relationship management or business development role preferrable within pension or financial industry.Previous experience with defined benefit plans and/or capital accumulation plans is strongly preferred. Experience with jointly sponsored plans or multi-employer plans would be an asset. Understands collective bargaining processes, sensitivities and pain points.Ability to initiate and develop relationships, building and maintaining trust, likeability, and confidence.Highly developed relationship management, research, and influencing skills to build sales interest and provide business solutions to both sides of the bargaining table.Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary.Ability to travel periodically within Ontario and occasionally to other parts of Canada.Ability to interact well with all levels of workplace stakeholders (employees, bargaining teams, unions, management, Committees, Boards).Previous experience with CRM solutions (Salesforce is preferred).Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office Suite (MS 365 is preferred).Exceptional communication skills demonstrated in conveying complex ideas with clarity and influencing diverse audiences.A result-oriented mindset, driving measurable outcomes and aligning strategies with organizational priorities.Additional Information:Working Conditions - While in the CAAT Pension Plan offices, the physical environment is clean and climate-controlled within a partitioned workstation. The candidate must set priorities and meet deadlines requiring positive working relations across functional areas, and an ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is needed. Frequent travel within Ontario is required, and occasional travel to other parts of Canada is required.Effort - Office work environment allows incumbent to sit comfortably and move about freely. Work involves keyboarding, telephone conversations, record keeping, creating and maintaining processes, research, reading, as well as virtual and in-person meetings, presentations, employer/union bargaining sessions and union ratification votes.
