Manpower is seeing a dynamic HR Generalist to partner their experience supporting our global logistics client, bringing to the role their passion for continuous improvement and workplace optimization.This 20-month contract will see you act as strategic partner to all business groups, providing expertise across all areas of HR, including employee relations, recruitment, compensation, talent management, organizational design, performance management, health and safety, training, and career development.SCOPEResponsible for implementing and driving the success of HR policies and initiatives, the HR Generalist collaborates with leaders and employees at all levels to strengthen engagement while ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance with legislative requirements.KEY FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESAssociate RelationsResponds to associate concerns and inquiries - Conducts investigations and disciplinary matters with support of managerSupports compliance to policies Associate Handbook, corporate policies and relevant governmental regulations including ESA and Human RightsStay informed of legal requirements related to management of associates, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance Performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions), supporting positive changes in people and performance Manage policy development and implementationWorkforce Planning, HR Projects and StrategySupport development of strategies for people management, succession planning, and talent management for key managerial and critical role positions Support in the development, implementation of the HR Strategy and ensure resources are managed strategicallyCollaborate with management to address business issues while leveraging opportunities to develop strategic HR InitiativesAssociate EngagementSupport appropriate associate engagement and reward and recognition strategiesManage Associate Engagement Survey (administration and analysis of results)Analyze data and provide action items with management drive cultural alignment and positive associate relations, optimizing business performance Training and DevelopmentCollaborate with leaders to define individual training needs for associates. Identify development solutions and partner with the leadership to track progress and close gapsSupport development of annual corporate training plan, conduct skills assessmentsSources, coordinates and schedules internal training courses.Conduct training and info sessions as requiredDisability Management, Compensation and BenefitsManagement of STD, LTD and WSIB claims, support Return to Work and accommodation processManage the annual HR performance cycle including merits and bonusesSupport payroll, compensation and benefits, respond to inquiries Recruitment and SelectionEnd to end recruitment (sourcing, interviews, offer, onboarding)Works with recruitment agencies/consultants on hard to fill positionQUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / COMPETENCIESPost-secondary degree/diploma is required in related field3 5 years of HR Generalist experience CHRP Designation (preferred)CHRL in progress or completed (preferred) Sound knowledge of employment (ESA, Human Rights, OHSA, etc.) Health and safety knowledge is requiredWorkday or other HRIS experience an assetDemonstrated PC technology skills; MS Office, Outlook (strong PowerPoint an asset) Previous recruitment experience Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Self-directed, strong initiative and motivation HR Generalist (20-month contract):Location: AllistonSalary: $75 - $80k Duration: 20 monthsTerms: Remote HybridHours: 8:30am 4:30pm (Mon Fri) Benefits: Extended health / tuition reimbursement / RRSP / TFSA / Paid time off
