Employing 78,500 people at 3,390 operating locations in 29 countries, CRH has market leadership positions in both North America and Europe.Why Work with Us?Pension and benefits included after probationary period.Shift premium(s).Bonus pay based on safety and performance.Highly competitive starting wage with multi-tier wage structure.Overtime opportunities are available.Company provided PPE including and yearly safety boot allowanceCompany paid training.Company sponsored social events and recognition program.Employee Family Assistance Program.Employee Referral Program.A culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion!Term: Full Time Position: Site Foreman Location: Acton Start Date: April/May 2025 Job Responsibilities: Ensure that daily operations are carried out in accordance to company objectives through the direct effective supervision of the hourly production and maintenance employeesEnsure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Dufferin Aggregates Health and safety policies and procedures, in daily operations, as well as ensuring that Health and Safety training is carried out in accordance to legislative and company requirementsOversee the safe and effective utilization of manpower, equipment, inventory, and property developmentMaintain production schedules, maintenance schedules, budgeted operating costs, forecasting, and capital planning and communicate progress regularly to the management and hourly teamsCoordinate the production process to balance inventories so as to meet sales targets, and customer needsCoordinate and control production with the goal of optimizing the product balance with the requirements of the sales department and customer needsPlan and implement the plant maintenance for both reactive and preventative maintenance purposes (including shut down planning, coordinating and implementation)Represent Dufferin Aggregates during onsite visits by the M.O.L., M.N.R., and the M.O.E.Support property department with efforts to provide necessary rehabilitation to site, in accordance with approved site plansAssist and support Site Manager and Site Superintendent with special projects and company initiatives, as requiredDirect supervision of the hourly employees and any third-party contractors on site Assist in managing and enforcing all Covid-19 policies and proceduresRequirements:College diploma in an appropriate discipline or trade and or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and acquired work experienceSound technical knowledge of aggregate, concrete or construction products and practices required3 to 5 years related experience in a leadership capacity.Industry related experience an assetComputer Literate (Microsoft Office, Knowledge of SAP an asset)Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime if neededStrong interpersonal skills and team orientatedAbility to deal with changing priorities daily and multi-tasked orientatedAnalysis and Problem-Solving Analyze issues and problems to make sound decisions on daily activitiesLeads for Performance Demonstrate and foster a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goalsManages Execution Ensure that work is completed to achieve the goals efficiently, effectively and according to Group Standards.Communications Listen and share information clearly and concisely to maintain an environment in which people communicate honestly and openly.
