Job Title : Director Quality -Food Safety Quality Assurance FSQA (Food, Beverage, Health & Beauty , Cosmetics and similar ) Location: Mississauga Oakville Burlington , ON areaBase Salary : 160K -180K; benefits Permanent Full time, On site 3 days a weekSome International Travel involved (up to 30% USA) Our client is a leading manufacturer in the Food / Beverage / Health & Beauty and similar industry and they have a job opening for Director -Quality- Food Safety Quality Assurance FSQA to oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control under ISO, Health Canada , FDA and other similar regulator bodies. The job is based in Mississauga Oakville Burlington , ON area and will need 3 days on site ( no exceptions)Director -Quality FSQA is a senior leadership role fully responsible for all Quality Systems, Product and Packaging Quality and its compliance ( HACCP, ISO, FDA, Health Canada ) at the contract manufacturer and copackers sites as well as internal manufacturing. You will create / modify existing Quality Standards, ensure execution and compliance at all contract manufacturers and co packer sites, evaluate existing standards, conduct gap analysis and implement corrective actions. You will review investigations and deviations and follow up corrective actions, complete the Quality Management Systems audit requirements and documentation, ensure compliance write / revise SOPs, Quality Standards, be the point of contact for all Quality Audits- internal / external / customer for finished goods , WIP, Inventory and Raw materials. You will work directly with Operations to implement Quality Standards and create a work culture of Continuous Improvement within Quality teams and other cross functional areas. You will coach, mentor and lead the Quality Teams. Some international travel may be involved to the US (30%) .Director -Quality MUST have a Bachelors degree (B. Sc in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or similar preferred) with a minimum of 8-10 years senior leadership experience in quality assurance management within food, health and beauty or similar. Experience with FDA and Health Canada both is a MUST ) Experience in auditing, allergen controls, food chemistry , HACCP, LEAN training preferred. Strong Skills on MS Excel, Power Point and other MS office products is a MUST have. Excellent communication skills, ability to work with all internal and external; stake holders(FDA, Health Canada , ISO and similar ) is a MUST .
