Developer (Contract Position)Number of Positions: 1 Duration: 6 monthsLocation: Mississauga, ON, CAMust be eligible to work in CanadaHybrid position, must work 4d/w onsite in Mississauga ON CARoles and responsibilities:This position GCP Data Architect/Developer is to support CRM team within the client's Corporate Marketing group.The incumbent will be responsible for designing and developing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment provided by the client. This role will cover data validation and migration to/from GCP. Expected to provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Design, develop and deploy cloud-based applications and services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies Lead cloud migration projects, including on-premises to GCP transitions Develop and maintain scalable, secure and efficient cloud infrastructure Implement automation using Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or other IaC tools. Ensure cloud solutions meet security best practices, compliance requirements, and IAM (Identity and Access Management) policies. Work with other teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Trouble shoot and resolve technical issues in timely manner Collaborate with HQ about GCP environment and integration with local Data Warehouse (DW) Integrate existing data in local DW with data in GCP Validate the extracted data to ensure accuracy and consistency Create and utilize tools for reconciliation, ensuring data integrity and provide verification capabilities Generate variety reports based on business needs Provide technical guidance to the business users Strong communication and collaboration skills Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP best practices Other duties as assignedMust have skills/qualifications/experience: Degree in Computer Since, Engineering or a related field 7+ years of experience in software, could computing and data management Programming language: Python, Scala, SparkSQL, SQL, Shell Scripting Strong knowledge of GCP technologies, including but not limited to BigQuiery, Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL, GCP Cloudrun, Cloud Deploy, Google Dataproc, Cloud Functions, Data Fusion, DLP, Composer/Airflow, Cloud Scheduler Proficient with Big Data/Hadoop: CDH/CDP, Hadoop, HBase, Impala, Spark, Cloudera Manager & Navigator, etc. Scheduling Tools: Cloud Scheduler and Composer/Airflow, Control M, Ozzie, Control M, etc. Visualization Tools: Eclipse, Power BI, Tableau, Pycharm, etc.Highly desired: Certification in Google Cloud would be beneficial
