Job Description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time dedicated and organized HR Assistant to join our clients Human Resources team in Scarborough, ON, with experience in a Canadian manufacturing environment. This role requires a solid understanding of Canadian HR practices, workplace regulations, and payroll processes. In this role, you will provide essential support in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and HR administration.If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about supporting employees, this role is for you!Pay Rate: $22.00 - $25.00/hour (based on experience)Location: Scarborough, ONShift: On-site | 5-days per weekJob type: Temporary to Permanent | Full-timeResponsibilities:Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.Maintain employee records, including benefits, attendance, and performance documentation.Draft employment letters, contracts, and other HR-related documents.Approve vacation requests and ensure proper scheduling.Address employee concerns and grievances, fostering a positive workplace culture.Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations Follow up on outstanding customer payments and send reminders for unpaid invoices.Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and assist in basic bookkeeping.Manage office supplies, correspondence, and other administrative duties.Support management in various business operations as needed.Qualifications:Knowledge of Canadian workplace regulations obtained through formal education in HR at a Canadian institution or through related certification training.Previous experience in Canadian payroll processing and Human Resources administration in food industry, other manufacturing sectorsExperience processing payroll within Canada, demonstrating a solid understanding of payroll practices and compliance.Knowledge of employment laws and other workplace regulationsStrong communication and interpersonal skills for handling employee relations.Experience in accounts receivable or other accounting function is an asset.High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in CanadaHere's why you should apply: Paid weekly accurate and on timeStrong health and safety programsMedical and dental benefits once qualifiedFree training programsNew and quicker onboarding processAre you interested in this position?
