Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manage, the Cafeteria Supervisor will be responsible for the continued smooth day-to-day operation of the cafeteria, and performance of Cafeteria Help.Location: 8301 Winston Churchill Blvd, Brampton, ON L6Y 0A2What's in it for you?Health benefits and pension planWeekly payOnsite Cafeteria Discount at our Chicken ShopOpportunities for career advancementA culture that values humility, a respect for family and hard workWhat you will be doing:Responsible for the supervision and leadership of Cafeteria staff and ensuring excellent customer service and food quality.Prepares food items in accordance with standards of quality, in accordance with the weekly Cafeteria menu. Prepares soups, salads, daily specials, and other food and/or beverage as requested by the Food & Beverage Manager.Ensures all dishes are prepared and presented in accordance with standard recipes and presentations established by the Chef.Prevents the spoiling and/or contamination of food, through the diligent proper hygiene practices and safe food handling.Assists Food & Beverage Manager in ordering products for the cafeteria, and monthly inventory counts.Regularly monitors refrigerated and dry storage goods inventory levels; and maintains daily food temperature and refrigeration logs for review by Food & Beverage Manager. Rotates food in refrigerators, freezers and dry storage as required.Assists Cafeteria staff with dishwashing duties as required.Ensures work area is always clean and orderly, participating in regular kitchen cleanup. Ensures and that equipment is in safe working order and reports equipment malfunctions to the Food & Beverage Manager.Assist in the Health & Safety program by ensuring that section 28 of the OHSA and company/departmental health & safety policies and procedures are being followed.Complies with all Company policies, including but not limited to those regarding schedules, uniforms, absenteeism, and tardiness.May require working on every other station as required when someone is on vacation or medical leave.People Supervision:Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all assigned work activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.b. Provide formal and informal feedback to subordinates to ensure their continuous development and overall contribution to the achievement of Maple Lodge Farms business strategy. Policies, Processes & Procedures a. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. b. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of improved department processes, policies, and procedures.What you will bring:Minimum of 5 years experience cooking and preparing meals large groups or restaurant setting Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.General computer skills (e.g. MS Office)Completion of a college culinary course, or equivalent.Red Seal an AssetMaple Lodge Farms was established in 1955.
