In this role, the Legal Assistant will provide support to a close-knit, dedicated team of employment lawyers. We understand the importance of investing in our team and are looking to work with someone who wants to learn and grow with us.Responsibilities Prepare draft pleadings and motion materials Support lawyers in documentary discoveryProvide administrative and additional legal support to lawyersAssist with preparation of audit responses and client file/case summaries Maintain, track, and organize client files and deadlinesEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and firm proceduresRespond to client and prospective client inquiriesMaintain lawyer calendars, tickler system and litigation list, including tracking deadlinesLiaise with opposing counsel, clients, courthouse staff, government agencies, and others Provide occasional billing and accounting support when needed Other duties as may be assigned from time to time RequirementsTech-savvy with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and WordPost-secondary education, preferably completion of a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk courseMinimum of 5 years of related experience (litigation or employment law environment is an asset)Experience with Soluno is preferred but not requiredQualifications & SkillsStrong organizational and time management skills Detail-oriented and resourceful with strong analytical abilityAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentClient-service oriented, with strong communication and interpersonal skillsAdherence to confidentiality and other LSO obligations**this is a hybrid opportunity and the office location is downtown Toronto**
