Develop business strategies to retain and expand store traffic.Team building, rand development of new employees & performance managementManaging, monitoring and analysis of store financials sales, inventory and EBIT including reconciling and closing out all daily transactions.Setting targets and goals for the store and staff and implementing measures to achieve objectives.Ensures the business complies with all health and safety regulations and food safety protocols and security procedures to minimize theft and loss.Oversees and optimizes all e-commerce & online store operations and sales analysisDeveloping marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing including ongoing merchandising management through planograms. Coordinating with current and new Vendors/ suppliers on cost and promotion.Organize and supervise the activities and work of a team of subordinates to ensure that all assigned work activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner.Provide formal and informal feedback to subordinates to ensure their continuous development and overall contribution to the achievement of Maple Lodge Farms business strategy.Responsible for all aspects of Human Resources functions for team including hiring, onboarding, performance management and disciplinary matters.Develop team capabilities through continue on-the-job and formal training opportunities and coaching.Monitor the financial performance of area of responsibility against approved budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized onWhat you will bring:Post Secondary Diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing or related field required. Minimum ten years of Grocery Retail experience required, with a minimum of five years in a Grocery Store Management role;Working knowledge of food and meat plant regulatory standards (CFIA, etc.), GMP, HACCP, BRC, food safety, food quality, etc.;Team-player with excellent leadership skills, able to motivate others, negotiate effectively, and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders;Demonstrated success in building strong, collaborative teams, setting stretch objectives, and holding people accountable for commitments with a track record of delivery favorable results;Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities;Ability to work / excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential;Working knowledge of refrigeration Strong Leadership and Management SkillsAbility to effectively manage budgets, sales reports and profit margins.Maple Lodge Farms was established in 1955.
