Commercial Litigation Legal AssistantLocation: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid Full-Time Onsite for First 6 Weeks, then Hybrid Schedule)Job Type: Full-TimeTalent Renew is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, full-service law firm located in the heart of downtown Toronto. With a strong reputation and decades of legal excellence, the firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for legal professionals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are looking to advance their skills in litigation and other practice areas.About the Role:The successful candidate will provide high-level legal administrative support to a team of lawyers, primarily within commercial litigation. The role involves managing legal documents, coordinating schedules, supporting court processes, and assisting in other practice areas as needed.Key Responsibilities:Open and close legal filesDraft, proofread, serve, and file legal documentsProvide transcription supportManage the day-to-day demands of multiple lawyersMaintain physical and electronic filing systemsPrepare bills of costsManage calendars and emailsPerform other administrative duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal assistant roleExperience in general commercial litigation, including the Commercial ListExperience with construction liensFamiliarity with Case Center is preferredExposure to bankruptcy and insolvency matters is an assetProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong ability to multitask and manage time effectivelyHigh attention to detail and organizational skillsProven ability to maintain confidentialityCompletion of a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk Diploma is considered an assetWhats Offered:Competitive salary based on experiencePaid vacationComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and Employee Assistance ProgramOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesInclusive and supportive work environmentHybrid work arrangement after initial six-week onsite training periodHow to Apply:To be considered for this position, please submit your resume through this job posting.
