Note that we are open to candidates who have higher compensation expectations.Location: Hybrid or remote. Ideally, this person will go into the office located just outside of Barrie 1-2 days per week, but they are flexible.Travel: Travel to the US every quarter.About the RoleThe Director of Sales/Associate Vice President of Sales will play a critical role in shaping and executing a unified sales and marketing strategy across Canada and the U.S. This individual will report to the executive leadership team and oversee cross-border sales operations, marketing initiatives, and customer relationship management while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and StrategyStrategic Planning: Develop and implement unified sales and marketing strategies to drive profitable growth in Canada and the U.S., aligning with corporate goals and market conditions.Executive Collaboration: Provide insights into market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning as part of the leadership team.Team ManagementTeam Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate sales and marketing teams across both countries, fostering a high-performance culture.Talent Development: Recruit, train, and develop top-tier talent while ensuring team alignment with regional goals.Cross-Border Collaboration: Navigate cultural, regulatory, and operational differences to unify Canadian and U.S. teams.Sales OperationsRevenue Growth: Set ambitious sales targets and oversee team efforts to achieve or exceed them, including pipeline development in key markets.Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth.Marketing ManagementBrand Strategy: Oversee the development of a cohesive brand strategy tailored for both Canadian and U.S. audiences while maintaining global consistency.Campaign Execution: Lead ROI-driven marketing campaigns, leveraging both digital and traditional channels.Financial AccountabilityBudget Oversight: Manage sales and marketing budgets, monitoring expenditures and optimizing ROI.Forecasting: Provide accurate sales and revenue forecasts, adjusting strategies based on performance metrics.Innovation and GrowthTechnology Utilization: Leverage CRM tools like HubSpot, marketing automation platforms, and analytics to enhance decision-making and customer engagement.Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new market opportunities, supporting long-term growth initiatives.Compliance and Cultural SensitivityRegulatory Adherence: Ensure all sales and marketing practices align with Canadian and U.S. regulations.Cultural Adaptation: Design sales and marketing strategies that are culturally relevant and effective in both countries.QualificationsProven experience in sales leadership roles, ideally with cross-border team management.A track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-performing teams.Strong understanding of marketing strategy, branding, and campaign execution.Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and marketing automation.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Ability to adapt to cultural, regulatory, and operational differences between Canada and the U.S.
