JUST POSTED - Hiring Provincially Certified Health Care Aide Contractorsfor One Senior Client in Alberta, Canada - 24 to 36 Hour Shifts Available, Sleeping On Site.Job Details:Currently hiring for 36 hour and 24 hour shifts.The HCA sleeps on site during 24 hour and 36 hour shifts.This work takes place in the senior's private home where the HCA is responsible to care for and be a social companion for one senior with dementia, doing things with the senior that they enjoy.Cost of all food and beverages is provided as well as laundry & bath facilities for all HCAs.Medication administration via pharmacist prepared bubble packs, and associated charting.Daily biometric assessment - blood pressure, heart rate, O2, temperature and associated charting.All personal care Washing, showering, toileting and peri-care, cleaning teeth, dressing & undressing, assistance & supervision during all mobility (uses walker) and all associated charting.Household duties Making all meals & clean-up, laundry, all house cleaning, plus caring for 2 indoor/outdoor cats.HCAs set the schedule, sequence and manner in which all work is done.Driving client in clients vehicle for appointments and fun outings.Requirements:Each HCA is required to already have all of the training and skill needed to fully perform this job.Must love the HCA role and love working with seniors.Needs to be a hard worker who takes the initiative on their own to do what needs to be done for the care of the client, as well as their home re: meal prep, house cleaning, laundry, and the 2 cats.Must have experience working with seniors who have dementia.Current Provincial Health Care Aid Certified, plus must provide proof each year of maintaining this certification.Current CPR & First Aid Certification.Must be fully fluent in English re: speaking, understanding, reading & writing.Minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System or equivalent) with no band less than 6.0Must be an experienced driver with valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License.Must own a vehicle to get to & from location of work.Must provide clear criminal record check.Must arrive on shift at least 5 minutes early for debrief update with HCA that's getting off shift.Provide invoices for work performed every month (a template can be provided).The HCA will be self-employed / a contractor.Essential Qualities for Success:Passionate about working with seniors.Excellent listening & communication skills.Patience & empathy.Composed & detail oriented.Stamina & endurance.Strong work ethic.Flexibility & reliability.Team PlayerAccepting of Constructive FeedbnackRemuneration for Qualified Candidates: $792. for every 36 hours. $528. for every 24 hours.To Apply: Email Your Resume to laurie.schroder@telus.net including best phone # and email address to be reached at.We thank everyone for applying, however, replies will only be made to fully qualified applicants.
