Reporting to the Senior Claims Specialist , the Administrator will support the Team by providing administrative and support functions. This position supports cross Canada operations and liaises between the Fleet Team, Corporate HSE Team, Legal Team and Operations Teams. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who has CSR/Brokerage and/or Insurance Claims experience. This role is primarily office based with some occasional field and provincial travel as required. Primary Scope of RoleMonitor GIP's insurance claims inbox, setting up claim files in the Flex Manager system, corresponding with claimants and third-party claims adjusters via email and phone, drafting claim related documents, updating files as new information presents itself.Review incident reports and flag those that require an insurance claims investigation.Conduct table-top investigations into claims to determine exposure and liability. Collect supporting documentation as part of the claim investigation and compiling it in an easy-to-follow package to be passed off to external claims adjusters and internal legal team. Draft claim denial letters and final release and settlement agreements. Intake of various insurance-related invoices, filing in correct claims files and liaising between accounts payable and insurance broker to ensure payments are made on time and claim files closed out.Open submitted claims, updating existing claims and closing out claims. Educate third parties on the claims process. Main point of contact for telephone complaints, investigation using Flex Manager and GPS system and communication with operations. Position Requirements: Grade 12 education. Bilingual in English and French would be preferred.Experience in Insurance Claims would be considered an asset. Knowledge of Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 and Highway Traffic Act would be an asset. Advanced Excel skills, including using formulas and creating graphs and charts.Experience with investigations and analyzing information.
