With a strong reputation and a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture, its an ideal environment for building a meaningful and dynamic career.About this role:As the Vice President, Development & Construction (VP, D&C) you will provide strategic leadership to a high-performing team of development professionals, driving business growth through opportunity identification, market intelligence, and data-driven recommendations. Acting as a senior advisor and owners representative, you will cultivate trusted relationships with a diverse client base - private, institutional, and non-profit - while championing their interests across all phases of the development lifecycle.You will oversee a broad portfolio of complex projects, guiding them from site acquisition and entitlements through design, construction, and disposition. With a focus on executional excellence, youll lead cross-functional coordination with consultants, legal teams, and municipal authorities to ensure projects meet financial, operational, and regulatory targets. Youll also represent the organization in public forums and engagement processes, strengthening community and stakeholder alignment.This role demands sharp financial acumen and oversight of capital planning, pro forma modeling, and risk mitigation strategies. You will take ownership of project delivery, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality standards are upheld, while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across both internal teams and external partners.About the candidate:The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in real estate development, with a degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Finance, or a related field (Masters preferred), and over 10 years of experience leading large-scale projects. They should have a deep understanding of the full development cycle, including entitlements, construction, and financial modeling. Solid financial acumen is essential, especially in pro forma analysis and project financing. Strategic thinking and sound judgment are essential to assess project viability and navigate challenges.Theyll also bring proven leadership experience, having managed and mentored high-performing teams of 10 or more. Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills are key, especially in working with municipalities and external partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple complex projects, and brings a high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.Compensation & Benefits:This role comes with a base salary in the range of CAD $220,000-250,000, along with a competitive bonus and benefits package. The final offer will be commensurate with the successful candidates qualifications, skills and experience.
