Purpose of the role:Working closely with the Directors, the Search Supervisor is expected to manage the clients objectives and manage/oversee the day to day paid search executions.The Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of 2+ individuals and although the role is focused on paid search it is expected that the candidate has a high-level understanding of the total digital ecosystem and the roles each of the digital platforms play in the daily lives of consumers.Key to this role is having a strong understanding of paid search fundamentals, ad serving and tagging technology, data analysis and communication to help drive performance results for PHD clients. This position will work closely with the Account Management and the Client Strategy & Development teams. A successful supervisor will need to provide analysis that informs and improves the effectiveness of the planning, execution and optimization of marketing strategy. You will tie the optimization metrics to the strategic intent of campaigns and the underlying business objectives.The Role & ExpectationsClient Engagement:Participate in and help lead client meetings, status and reporting callsAbility to effectively communicate processes, tactics and best practices to clientsProactively identifying and discussing technology/advancements and platform opportunities for improvement.Communication & Collaboration:Ensure active voice within cross functional collaboration.Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues to ensure clear understanding of the overarching, high level business objectives.Be able to effectively communicate and teach processes and best practises to peers and members of the team.Exhibits solid communication skills in order to effectively present strategic and tactical plans to clients and internal teamsParticipate in writing internal and external POVsAccountability:Lead team to complete thorough quality checks of campaign set up; billing system and in platformEnsure timely and accurate campaign launch and delivery across client portfolioOrganize team to deliver all reports and insights to meet deadlines set by client teamsDisplays organizational capabilities to track progress, execution and consistency of Paid Search advertising campaigns across client portfolioContribute to corporate mandates and education of all staff, including writing POV's, creating presentations, and sharing industry news.Financial Management:Lead a team to manage campaign budget pacing across client portfolioProvides guidance for clients that allows them to be efficient with their media dollars across channels.Lead analysing and co-ordinate closing billing estimates with teamThe ability to prevent and troubleshoot financial issuesPeople Management:Build and maintain motivation within team.Consistently mentors and coachs junior colleagues in their development, including managing, carrying-out and presenting compelling plans and approaches.Assist in the training and development of junior staff, including the review of data entry and reporting to ensure accuracy, quality, and overall understanding. Mentor more junior staff in increasing knowledge base across planning, reporting, and optimizing campaigns.Have strong program management and organizational skills being able to manage team members working on multiple projects at onceMaintain and advance partner relationships with sister agencies and vendorsLeadership:Exhibits responsibility for overall quality assurance across all accounts including data and reporting accuracy.Provide mentorship and guidance with team members.Demonstrate core company values on a day to day basis.Media/Business Acumen:Previous experience with Paid Search strategy and implementationPossesses understanding of Paid Search advertising campaign management and optimization practices that can help clients meet their business goalsUnderstanding of business concepts and client objectives in order to identify campaign expansion opportunitiesDemonstrates understanding of and ability to facilitate and manage forecasting, budgeting and pacing, campaign creation and optimizationPossesses well developed analytical ability to extract insight from data and plan next steps across multiple marketing mediumsUnderstanding of broader media planning and buying to ensure integration / coordination with wider media objectives occurUnderstanding of post-click tracking through the use of pixels or Google AnalyticsGoogle Ads certification is a plusYour ResponsibilitiesLead a team responsible for compiling data across Paid Search platforms including analysis for insights, optimizations and future strategy developmentCreate weekly/monthly reporting templates focused on showcasing client KPIsWork closely with internal teams to develop pre-project measurement plans and post-mortem project analysis in order to develop specific and actionable recommendations.Demonstrates strategic insight to develop long term execution plans from clients stated business objectives and lead the implementation of those plansOversee training and mentoring of Managers and AssistantsPresent strategy and performance to clients explaining rationale and key insightsCampaign budget pacingOversee development of keywords and ad copy following PHD and client-specific best practicesCo-ordinate the upload and launch campaigns in appropriate platforms within teamPerform thorough quality checks to ensure accuracy of set up across teamOversee campaign billing information into Prisma billing system and assist in input when neededMonitor client, competitor and industry changesSupport ad-hoc data requests for forecasting, billing, promotional performance, etc.Utilize campaign management tools to execute campaigns and improve overall performanceBuild and maintain productive working partnerships with vendors, client teams, and agency partners/teams.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising or communications, MIS or stats preferred2 years of work experience (1+ years managing programs focused on delivering and optimizing paid search campaigns, preferably working with Fortune 500 brands)In-depth understanding of Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaign management and optimization practices, as well as an understanding of social, video, search retargeting, and other online advertising opportunitiesBe a proactive self-starterBe a team player and committed to trainingHave strong management skillsPossess a desire to work for a fast-paced, results-based companyHave strong program management and organizational skills being able to manage multiple projects at onceBe confident in analyzing and acting on marketing dataDiversity & InclusionAt Omnicom Media Group, our people are our greatest asset.
