(MCP) is a leading full-service national distributor providing sales, marketing & brand strategy development in the Canadian marketplace for over 25 years.Our extensive portfolio of brands includes Dr. Scholls, Salon Pas, Breathe Right, EOS, Freeman Beauty, Real Techniques, Dr. Teals and more!Position Overview:The Associate Marketing Manager will assist in developing and executing marketing and sales strategies to promote growth and enhance market performance. This role will provide day-to-day administrative support for a portfolio of brands working closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, keen eye for detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.Key Responsibilities:Brand Management & Strategic Support:Assist in the development of short & long-term marketing and sales strategies for key brands, leveraging consumer and market data to drive growth.Support the creation and execution of brand plans and achieving set goals/budgets.Responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks related to major Canadian Retailers including listing forms, photobooks, price surveys, samples, and price lists, playbooks, image library etc.Leverage market data & client brands decks to build compelling fact-based selling presentations & sell sheets.Assist with new product launches and line reviews ensuring the right position, pricing and forecasts in place for a successful launch.Assist with planning and execution of Canadian Marketing initiatives.Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitive landscape, and new marketing opportunitiesRegular store checks to conduct competitive analysis.Reporting Assistance:Assist in tracking trade spend and business performance, supporting sales planning processes.Provide reports and performance updates to internal & external stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making.Create & manage project trackers for new item launches, product packaging changes, price increases, and other ad hoc projects.Provide administrative support where required.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:Collaborate with Key Account Managers, Insights team to ensure alignment on marketing and sales initiatives.Collaborate with Supply Chain team on forecast and demand planning in support of core business and innovationAssist in managing relationships with clients providing regular status updates on ongoing projects and initiatives.Qualifications:Post-secondary marketing or business degree or diploma.1-3 years of experience in marketing, sales strategy or trade marketing within CPG sector.Strong attention to detail, excellent project management & organizational skills.Able to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse portfolio of products and tasks.Experience in relationship management and cross-functional collaboration.Ability to meet tight deadlines and provide accurate and timely reporting.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical skills with at least 2 years of experience with Nielsen data.High level of initiative and proactive approach to tasks.Advanced excel skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point.JDA software/planogram creation an asset.Previous experience and/or GMP training for DIN, NHP and Medical devices is an assetFluency in French (both written and verbal) is an assetWhat's in it for you?Growing company with a great reputation and a dynamic, friendly 'family-feel' culture.Competitive compensation package.Company benefits including medical, dental and company-paid RRSP plan.Paid time off and half-day Friday during the summer rest of year, 8am-3pm on Fridays.Hybrid work environment, work from home 3 days a week, 2 days in office (and as required).Renovated offices & stocked kitchen that includes beverages & snacks.Various social events through the year.
