We are currently seeking a staff accountant to join our tax practice in Toronto! This versatile role will involve working directly with several of our staff and clients. We are looking for an individual who is committed to a career in taxation and has the desire to take a lead role in contributing both to the growth of the firm and our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include: Tax return preparation, research, and timeline management Set-up client files, assist with the completion of budgets and complete administrative planning Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with managers or engagement partners to develop resolutions Communicate with the government regarding information requests, assessments and installments Work collaboratively with the client engagement team Willingness to participate in external learning opportunities A successful candidate will have: Bachelor''s degree or Diploma with a focus on accounting No prior work experience required Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Highly organized, the ability to re-prioritize workload and adapt to changing circumstances, and strong time management skills A professional and courteous manner Driven, flexible and motivated to help others Strong attention to detail A strong desire to continuously learn and grow within the field of tax accounting, with an eagerness to take on new challenges and responsibilities as part of your career development. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment Whats in it for you?
