Position Summary Join the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) at UHN, one of the largest academic medical imaging departments in Canada! With 750,000+ exams annually, we set the standard for clinical excellence. Our cutting-edge digital technology and dedicated team of 700+ staff and 90 specialized radiologists prioritize patient care and exceptional image quality. The Breast Imaging Division is a Mammography Accredited Centre with the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) and also an Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) site. Duties Perform high-quality Breast Imaging procedures using digital equipment in a fast-paced and evolving environment Digital quality assurance that meets mammography accreditation standards Perform screening and diagnostic mammography Complete breast interventional procedures Ensure respectful communication with patients and team members Ongoing commitment to continuing education that meets CAR and hospital requirements Work accurately, safely, and efficiently in a fast-paced, high patient volume setting Participate in teaching, as required Possibility of rotating to other Breast Imaging Corporate sites and work overtime, as required Minimum Requirements Certification by the CAMRT Current registration with the CMRITO and fulfilling the annual required continuing education as per CMRITO Previous Breast Imaging working experience with successful completion of Mammography 1 and 2 certificates from CAMRT Completed over 15 hours of continuing education in Mammography within the past 3 years Completion of a BCLS program within the past 12 months or has current Level II: Basic Rescuer certification Ability to work effectively and communicate respectfully within a supportive team environment Demonstrate strong technical skills, multi-tasking, and utilize good judgement to ensure work is performed in the best interest and safety of the patient and the team Ability to evaluate your quality of work and use feedback to self-improve Strong written and verbal communication skills including relevant and accurate clinical documentation Ability to learn new skills, adapt to process changes, and participate in teaching new staff and students Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history Effective computer skills and ability to review emails daily Demonstrated knowledge/experience in Digital Mammography and Digital equipment quality control, preferred Previous working experience at an OBSP Facility including experience in performing OBSP digital quality control, preferred Previous working experience at a CAR Mammography Accredited Facility, preferred Previous breast ultrasound experience with DMS registration, preferred In addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs, and perks.
