As an integral member of the internal front line service point, the Network Operations Center Specialist''s key responsibilities are as follows: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Interface with network monitoring software (PRTG), identifies trends in technology problems, advises Sr. Manager, IT Operation and provides input into resolving issues. Act as primary contact and provides first level support for all customer lines of business. Determine extent of problem(s), decides on appropriate action(s) and sets priorities for responding to problems in order to ensure that program operations are not adversely impacted. Work with: Microsoft Active Directory 2012, Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016. Assist with change management software to affect change requests. Backup configuration and support. Maintain excellent communication skills and experience in a highly technical role with a 99.99% up-time commitment to NRT customers. Perform change requests, applying updates, installs and upgrades of a highly available production environment. Support Level 1 & Level 2 onsite, remote and on the phone. Work with virtual environments (VMWare). Installing and configuring systems such as Asset Management applications (PDQ). Develop and maintain installation, operational, configuration and run books procedures. Contribute to and maintain system standards. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Determine false-positives from live issues and escalate as appropriate. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Interface with the Security Event and Incident Management (SEIM) system to identify trends in cyber security problems, advises Sr. Manager, IT Operation and provides input into resolving issues. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted stakeholders. Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary. Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Coordinate escalation procedures and provide status updates to internal team members. Maintain data center environmental, power and monitoring equipment. Determine false-positives from live issues and escalate as appropriate. Other duties and responsibilities assigned. Qualifications/Skills Bachelors Degree / Diploma in a technology-related field or equivalent experience. Experience supporting Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook. Good knowledge and expertise in supporting client needs in a complex technology environment (e.g., local and wide area network, information systems security, applications implementation, and maintenance). Demonstrated expertise in operating within a NOC technology environment. Good current working knowledge of business hardware and software applications (e.g., Windows, Microsoft 365, Edge) to analyze/resolve technology problems and provide effective client support services. Excellent knowledge of current computer hardware, TCP/IP networks, VMWare, PDQ, software applications, databases and software and hardware architecture to provide advice and assistance in the implementation of new/upgraded systems enhancements. Sound knowledge of systems security and anti-virus/malware prevention practices to facilitate the protection and integrity of NRTs data and information. Knowledge of NRT Technology IT standards, policies and practices and the IT architecture to provide effective advice and guidance in the resolution of problems/issues. Good knowledge of current and emerging industry technology practices, standards, development tools, access, and usability to ensure NRT benefits from leading advances in the IT field. Working knowledge and experience with Storage, Backup and Recovery technologies such as Quest, Barracuda, and Azure Backup. Strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure support functions, practices, and processes to ensure the provision of excellent customer service in the delivery of NOC services. Good knowledge of systems design and development to provide meaningful input into hardware/software acquisitions and to analyze complex systems problems and develop viable solutions to address them. Good knowledge of IT project management principles, techniques, and practices. Significant knowledge and experience administering Exchange Online & SharePoint Online. Significant knowledge and experience in the administration of SANs, Firewalls, Hypervisors, Switches, Firewalls and Security Appliances. Knowledge of deploying, Maintaining and Troubleshooting office typical hardware such as Desktops, Laptops, Tablets, Printers and / or Smart Phones. Working knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2016 or newer. Good knowledge of Windows 10 / 11 Workstation Configuration and Troubleshooting. Knowledge and experience with Linux servers. Network Printer Mapping & Troubleshooting. Active Directory User Management. Microsoft Office 365 Administration. Cisco VPN / AnyConnect Configuration & Troubleshooting. Experience using Network Monitoring tools or investigating System Alerts. Basic TCP / IP network troubleshooting. Excellent Organizational and Documenting skills. Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical skills. Strong Oral and Written Communication skills. Ability to Effectively Prioritize and Execute tasks in a High-Pressure Environment. Experience working in a Team-Oriented, Collaborative environment. Self-starter with an ability to Work Independently. Excellent Client Relations skills. Must be flexible to work a 12 hour day and (or) night shifts and rotating shifts.
