As an Electrical Engineer in the BBA Vancouver office, you will lead and contribute to the execution of projects in conceptual, design, construction, commissioning and operational phases for our clients in the Energy, Industrial and Mining sectors. Work collaboratively with clients, project managers, engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards Prepare, review and approve engineering design packages including reports, studies, estimates, budgets, schedules, drawings, calculations, specifications, quotations, proposals, presentations Develop and implement work methods Perform site inspections, testing and commissioning at client sites, locally and abroad Oversee and prepare proposals including scoping, cost estimate and schedule Manage and lead single and multidisciplinary project work packages including preparing budget and schedule, and tracking deliverable progress Train, coach, mentor and supervise intermediate and junior Engineers, Technicians and drafters Maintain and grow business relationships and the quality of BBAs professional services In addition to the technical responsibilities of this position, we are looking for individuals who have experience and interest in project leadership responsibilities such as project discipline leads, project engineers and project managers. Strong commitment to health and safety Results-driven Ability to share and pass on knowledge Inspirational leadership Ability to see beyond established standards Rigour and ethical Overview of certifications and job requirements Electrical Engineering Degree, or similar 20+ years of relevant project experience Registered with EGBC as a P.Eng or eligible to register with EGBC as a P.Eng. within the next year A valid class 5 BC drivers license Excellent communication skills with high competency in English (both spoken and written) Ability to travel on short notice to customer sites and other BBA offices Experience preparing, reviewing and approving technical documents such as studies, reports, specifications, calculations, plans, and instructions Experience preparing and reviewing design deliverables such as single line diagrams, layouts, elevations, material lists, cable and termination schedules, etc. Experience preparing and reviewing project estimates Familiarity with IEEE Color Books, CEC and NEC An overview of BBAs total reward Annual base salary, based on 37.5 hours weekly, between $146,000 to $200,000 Annual bonification program for all regular employees Onsite mobility premium Access to a time bank Cellphone Program Group insurance plan starting day one including short term and long-term disability insurance Pension Plan Vacation and sick leave Premium offer through the Employee Referral Program.
