Job SummaryThe Signals and Communications (S&C) Quality Assurance Supervisor - Eastern Region plays a vital role in ensuring the successful installation of projects, adhering to Canadian National Railway's standards. This position involves handling material acquisition, tracking project timelines, collaborating with Signal Design Engineers, testing software, and preparing cutover and testing plans.Main ResponsibilitiesProject PlanningPrepare scope documents and submit to Signal Design for proposed projects.Participate in site surveys to resolve reconstruction work required and estimate costs to complete.Work closely with local supervisors, Signal Design personnel, and managers on projects that fall under their jurisdiction.Identify material, manpower, and design shortfalls in projects.Maintain efficient installation and budget commitments by making necessary corrections.Handle budgets on construction projects.Participate in the development of pretesting and cutover plans for S&C projects.Procedures and ReportsE nsure all test procedures are followed and documented.Contribute to the preparation of credible reports of activation failures and other wrong side failures.Remain alert and prepared for unusual conditions or circumstances.Working ConditionsThis role is performed in a combination of office and outdoor environments, subject to various weather conditions, with shift work including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
