These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier, Bryant & Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. With 36 locations in Canada and over 150+ locations, in 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, there is a location to service our customers HVAC/R needs.We are currently accepting internal and external applications for the National Assortment Planning Manager.The National Assortment Planning Manager will be responsible for executing strategic operational decisions to optimize product selection, streamline inventory processes, and ensure operational efficiency, while identifying, understanding, defining, and prioritizing the future of our product assortment to support our growth plan. This role will work closely with all cross-functional teams including operations, purchasing, product, sales, and finance to achieve the best product mix that maximizes sales and profitability for all of CE Canada.The Opportunity:Assortment Planning:Lead the execution and ongoing maintenance of our branch product assortment strategy (70/20/10) by analyzing market trends, consumer demand, and sales performanceIdentify product mix for national, regional and store specific offerings to our customer.Conduct competitive analysis to ensure the assortment meets market performance and customer expectations.Inventory Management:Educate Sales Center Managers to support the reduction of Excess, Slow & Damaged (ESD) & Predictive Inventory Aging (PIA) inventory.Collaborate with supply chain teams to forecast demand and plan inventory replenishment.Collaborate with the Wholesale Area Managers (WAMs) to protect CEC assets and ensure all processes are trained and followed to minimize/eliminate any loss to the P&LSKU Rationalization:Lead initiatives for SKU rationalization by analyzing underperforming products and making recommendations to eliminate or replace low-value SKUs.Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions when optimizing or reducing SKUs.Track performance metrics post-rationalization to measure success and refine processes.Continuous Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements within the assortment, inventory, and SKU management to drive efficiencies.Identifies roadblocks and obstacles that may impair product launches, execution,and deadlines to ensure we meet strategic, sales and marketing goals.Represents the company as a leader in the industry ensuring maximum support of the sales, profitability and operational function of each Business UnitTraining & DevelopmentSupports the implementation of any new or modified policy, system and procedureBe a champion of the OF (Order Fulfillment), new CSD technology implementation, support training, roll-out and continued supportSupport Sales Centers with annual physical inventoryProvides instruction, training and guidance to the operations of Sales CentersQualifications:Minimum 5-10 years operational experience within a fast-paced distribution/manufacturing environment; HVAC preferred.Bilingual is an strong assetProven success in operations and leadership rolesStrong interpersonal skills including operational analytics, problem solving and Customer ServiceProven success in managing and mentoring other employees while establishing operational goalsAbility to analyze sales and market dataMust possess the attitude of wanting to learn, teach and leadSkills:Strong analytical, technical, verbal, and written communication skillsHighly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion; project management experience is desirable.Exceptional leadership and managerial skillsRelationship Management and collaboration skills are a mustA rich blend of analytical, creative, strategic, and tactical talentsAbility to read and interpret P&L statementsCapable of working in a fast-paced environment with skills to multi-task on different levelsAbility to work independently but meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time framesExcellent customer service mindset with the ability to develop efficiencies to improve Customer experienceProactively seeks continuous process and service improvementThis is a national role requiring 40% travel within Canada and possibility the US.
