The RoleIn this role, you will support a range of municipal/transportation-based engineering projects from the proposal stage through to completion. Your mission will be to strengthen our team, helping ensure project objectives, schedules and budgets are met. You will be part of a team that delivers innovative solutions for our clients, including major urban municipalities, First Nations, provincial agencies, federal organizations, and private industry. All of this will take place in a collaborative work environment where you will work together with other disciplines to get the job done. Opportunities will continue to be provided to expand your knowledge, and you will participate in larger municipal infrastructure projects catered to your interests.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the Municipal Design process from proposal stage through to completionWork collaboratively with the greater design team including other disciplinesPrepare utility pipe network, grading, and drainage design package using AutoCAD/Civil 3D for small to large municipal projects (sewer, water, drainage, land development, transportation, etc.)Contribute to the production of report figures, preliminary, tender, and construction packagesPerform design calculations and present them in a logical and organized manner under the guidance of engineersManage project data (drawing files, models, topographic surveys, design calculations, etc.)Assist in drawing production, plotting, and deliveryPrepare quantities and cost estimatesEnsure drawing development adheres to company/client drafting standards with emphasis on quality assurance and project scheduleAbout YouSome highlights could include, but are not limited to:Diploma in a Civil Engineering Technology program or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D in the design and construction of civil engineering worksExperience in Civil Design Drafting with demonstrated technical abilitiesC.
