If this is you, we've got your perfect opportunity at our newly acquired La Crete Hospital as a Project Manager working out of our Edmonton Office with occasional travel to La Crete!POSITION OVERVIEW As the Project Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution and transition of a large-scale healthcare project in northern Alberta. This multi-phase project includes both capital and operations phase running concurrently requiring expertise in managing projects related to healthcare infrastructure, clinical operations and change management, and phase coordination. You will manage multiple largescale external stakeholders in ways that support organizational plans and lead/monitor program planning & performance, support change and drive continuous process documentation and improvement.You will bring a strong skillset around collaboration and cross-functional teaming and can be influential within an integrated leadership team environment. Were seeking a dynamic individual to lead our efforts in enhancing our project management and delivery strategies to ensure an effective set up of the La Crete Hospital.Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Manage projects related to healthcare infrastructure, clinical operations and change management, and phase coordination. Stakeholder Management: During the capital phase, the Project Manager will collaborate with stakeholders on the development and construction of a new healthcare facility, ensuring alignment with operational standards, clinical requirements and community needs. They will work closely with government entities, contractors and healthcare leaders to address the unique challenges of delivering healthcare in a remote environment, including logistics, workforce management and community engagement. Planning: In the operation phase, the Project Manager will oversee staff transition planning, recruitment and training to ensure continuity in healthcare service delivery. This includes developing operational workflows, implementing clinical policies and ensuring staff readiness to provide high-quality patient care. Additionally, the Project Manager will lead change management initiatives to support teams through the transition and mitigate risks associated with operational startup in a rural setting. Codifying: Capture project knowledge by identifying key workflows, processes and decision points for future use. Conduct post-project reviews to capture insights, challenges and successes, translating them into actionable improvements. Process Design: To support future initiatives, the Project Manager will develop a comprehensive operational toolkit which will include:Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide clinical and non-clinical staff transitions.Staff onboarding and training materials tailored to site specific needs.Change management resources to support staff and leadership through transitions.Evaluation frameworks and lessons learned to inform future operational projects. Reporting & Communication: Prepares project reports, data and presentations for project status meetings. Keeps senior leadership and key stakeholders informed of project status, escalating issues impacting timelines, scope, quality or budget.What You Bring to the Table: Education: Bachelors degree in related field such as business, quality management or health. Project management certification. Experience: 6 Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible related experience, three (3) of which are in a clinical or health care environment, and two (2) of which are in project management or coordination. Equivalent education and experience may be considered. Skills: Critical Time Management, Outstanding organizational skills and problem-solving abilities; Proven knowledge and expertise in stakeholder management, analytical capabilities, relationship building, verbal/written communication skills and conflict resolution. Excellent Presentation (planned & ad-hoc) and Microsoft Office (including Visio and excel) skills. Tools: Project management methodology, tools and techniques required.Some Required Competencies Include: Leadership: Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence across all levels of an organization, as well as Experience designing and implementing capital and operational project initiatives. Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: You excel at strategic relationship building and are able to leverage human resources and project management tools/techniques to deliver on the different areas of multiple project life cycles that contribute to the vision of the project. Collaboration & Communication: Understand the role and impact of your position on other subgroups/committees within the project team, as well as the steering committee and Work closely with the different stakeholder groups to ensure a unified approach to project execution and delivery.
