Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a Team Lead of Registered Products to join their team in Markham on a long-term contract. This position runs until 2026 and includes 2 weeks of vacation.Reporting to the Senior Manager of Investment products in a fast-paced environment, the Acting Team Lead of Registered Plans will oversee the Registered Products Team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, energetic, and possess in-depth knowledge of all registered products, the Income Tax Act, CRA guidelines, and the Pension Act provisions.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAct as a subject matter expert on registered products (RRSP, RRIF, TFSA, RESP, locked-in pension accounts), with in-depth knowledge of the Income Tax Act, CRA, and regulatory guidelines.Review registered plans policies semi-annually to ensure compliance and communicate regulatory changes.Lead and coach the team, fostering development and sharing best practices.Supervise daily operations, ensuring SLAs are met and proper planning for peak seasons.Collaborate with management and other departments on operational initiatives.Address escalated issues and maintain controls to enhance business relationships.Other duties as required.Qualifications and SkillsPost-secondary education.Bilingualism considered a strong asset.Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and/or Canadian Investment Mutual Funds Course considered an asset.Investment Funds Institute of Canada Operations course considered an asset.5 years of relevant experience in the investment industry.Strong customer focus and professional acumen.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and conflict resolution skills.Strong communication, organizational, and listening skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Team player with initiative and independence.
