Permanent Full-timePeterborough, Ontario Salary Range: $100-120K Our client is currently seeking a Client Relationship/Business Development Manager with a background in mechanical engineering to expand our reach within the bulk material handling sector in Peterborough, Ontario. This role will be responsible for developing strategic relationships, driving business growth, and collaborating closely with clients to deliver tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical knowledge and client management experience, allowing them to effectively address client needs and position our client as the premier choice in the industry.Responsibilities:Identify and pursue new business opportunities within industries such as mining, cement, and energy.Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at client organizations.Function as the primary point of contact for clients, managing ongoing communications to ensure satisfaction and responsiveness.Conduct regular business reviews to address client needs and provide updates on the companys innovative product offerings and services.Create and execute tailored service plans that reinforce client trust, enhance satisfaction, and foster long-term loyalty.Leverage mechanical engineering expertise to provide clients with solutions for their unique material handling challenges.Collaborate with internal engineering and technical teams to design and present customized, precision-engineered solutions that meet specific client requirements.Remain current on industry advancements and technological innovations to position as a knowledgeable partner and leader in material handling solutions.Strategic Planning and Market InsightsDevelop and implement client development strategies that align with the companys business objectives and the latest market trends.Provide competitive analysis, client feedback, and industry insights to refine business development strategies and service offerings.Contribute insights to product and service innovation to enhance the company's market positioning.Oversee and support installations, repairs, and maintenance of equipment, with a focus on wallboard systems.Provide on-site supervision as needed for installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.Develop user manuals and technical documentation for client and internal use.Use AutoCAD for design, layout, and troubleshooting (AutoCAD proficiency is an asset)Qualifications:Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, client relationship management, or technical sales, ideally within the material handling, manufacturing, or heavy machinery sectors.Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, with familiarity in bulk material handling systems preferred.Ability to understand, communicate, and apply technical concepts effectively.Proven history of successfully developing and managing client relationships.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust across diverse client profiles.Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience to Paula@Harbrhr.ca
