SiteTalent is hiring on behalf of a growing subcontractor based in Coquitlam for a Business Development Manager role. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team. As a Business Development Manager, you will work closely with senior management to drive the growth and development of the company, nurture existing client relationships, and identify new business opportunities within the construction sector. Your role will blend strategic marketing, business development, and pre-construction management, with the chance to directly influence project success across Canada and the US.ResponsibilitiesCultivate and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.Proactively identify new business opportunities, attend industry events, and network to expand the company's client base and market presence.Work alongside the estimating team to coordinate the proposal process and create construction proposal templates that streamline future bids.Collaborate with the Operations Manager and estimating team to manage projects from bidding to project handover, ensuring client expectations are met and projects are set up for success.Develop and implement digital marketing strategies, including social media campaigns, website content, and online presence to promote the companys brand and capabilities.Support the senior management team by fostering a collaborative and positive work culture, guiding and mentoring team members to align with company values and objectives.Work with the leadership team to set strategic goals and ensure the companys vision is realized through business development activities, market research, and competitor analysis.QualificationsAt least 10 years in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years in the British Columbia or US market.Solid understanding of modern construction practices and the technical aspects of construction processes, including contract negotiations, budgets, and scheduling.Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience.Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
