JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Professional to join our food ingredients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, and achieving sales and margin targets within the assigned product and geographic market(s). DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients in the organic food ingredient industry. Identify and target potential customers to increase market share. Present, promote and sell food ingredients to existing and prospective clients to grow volumes and increase margins over time. Manage the relevant commodity book to achieve or exceed budgeted targets while enhancing margins, building competitive advantages and expanding market presence. Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within the raw commodities sector. Work with procurement, risk management, logistics and other traders to build a strong demand-driven pipeline and manage the risks associated with the extended supply cycle. Maintain an in-depth understanding of commodity offered, including sourcing, quality standards, pricing, and logistical considerations. Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company objectives and client needs. Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and execution of sales contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Provide exceptional post-sales support, addressing any issues or concerns clients may have to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. Work closely with internal teams, including quality and operations to ensure seamless execution of transactions. Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to senior management. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain strong relationships. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 3 5 years of experience in a food sales and trading role. Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field, would be considered an asset.
