Responsibilities Reporting to the IT Senior Manager, the Sr. Cybersecurity Operations Analyst will: Work directly to monitor security alerts and logs in real-time to detect malicious activities and potential threats. Conduct advanced incident analysis and forensics to identify the root cause of security breaches and potential impacts. Develop, refine and coordinate SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) rules and alerts to improve detection capabilities. Define and advocate for security best practices across our teams; Provide guidance and feedback for corporate policy Lead incident response efforts, including coordinating with stakeholders and documenting response activities and findings. Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and attack techniques to continually improve our strategic approach. Create comprehensive reports on incidents and breaches, including detailed analysis and recommendations for preventing future incidents. Develop and maintain documentation for security procedures, protocols, policies, and runbooks. Participate in security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards. Leverage extensive automation to lower and monitor MTTD & MTTR. Seek efficiency and automation at every opportunity. Desired Skills, Qualifications and Competencies include: 5+ years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst, ideally in a SOC team environment, Extensive experience with the Microsoft security suite, including Defender for Endpoint, Sentinel (SIEM), EntraID, and Microsoft 365 Compliance and Security. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar. Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Javascript. Bonus points for PowerShell scripting experience. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, or similar are highly desirable. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education/work experience.
