We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Process Engineer to develop and implement high-precision extrusion processes for medical device tubing, ensuring compliance with strict medical tolerances and standards. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the extrusion line, including setup, maintenance, and workflow management. Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize extrusion processes for medical device tubing, ensuring precision and regulatory compliance. Manage extrusion lines, including multi-lumen, taper, co-extrusions, and balloon tubing. Troubleshoot and resolve process issues, minimizing downtime and defects. Collaborate with production, R&D, and external vendors to meet customer specifications and develop tooling. Ensure timely production of extrusions to meet schedules. Maintain traceability of raw materials and ensure contamination prevention. Generate and maintain comprehensive records for process compliance and reproducibility. Write and execute process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ). Provide technical support and training to production staff on best practices and quality standards. Supervise the Extrusion Department, focusing on productivity, scrap reduction, and quality improvement. Requirements: Post-secondary education in engineering/technical field or relevant experience. Minimum 5 years of hands-on precision extrusion experience in medical device manufacturing. Expertise in extrusion of medical-grade polymers (Pebax, Hytrel, PET, PU, etc.) and tooling design.
