IT Program Manager (Contract Position)Number of Positions: 1-3 Duration: 8 monthsLocation: Winnipeg, MB, CAMust be eligible to work in CanadaRemote position, must work CTD hoursLooking to hire up to3 IT Program Managers to manage performance of assigned project managers while proactively monitoring and resolving their project roadblocks in alignment with PMO guidance.Candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements to be considered for this role:Minimum 15 years of experience managing Information Technology projects.Minimum of 10 years overseeing the delivery of multiple concurrent projects in a program manager, project director, or similar role.Minimum of 5 years performing root cause analysis on projects with schedule or budget overruns, scope creep, and/or multiple issues and risks, in addition to the development and execution of plans to recover the project.Valid PMP certification.Strong oral and written communication skills, with a minimum 7 years of experience preparing and presenting PowerPoint presentations to all levels of management.Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.Location and Hours: Remote (work from home) anywhere in Canada 8 hours daily, Monday to Friday (excluding stat holidays and mandatory vacation time off as specified by the client Core business hours are between 7:00am- 5:00pm (Central time)Responsibilities: Manage the performance of assigned project managers Ensure project managers comply with PMO methodology Proactively monitor and resolve project roadblocks in alignment with PMO guidance Address project team conflicts Ensure project managers assertively address conflicts with stakeholders and sponsors Review and approve key project management artifacts Ensure the following project management activities are performed according to MBLL standards:Project initiation and planningBudget development, tracking, and variance reportingResource planning and assignmentSchedule management (develop, control and update)Status reportingIssue management, including issue logging, tracking, and escalationProject change management, utilizing the change control process to manage changes to project scope, budget, and scheduleQuality management, including review and assurance of deliverables prior to acceptanceRisk management, including risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking risk status, and initiating contingency plansCommunication management, including communication planning and execution of the planDeliverable acceptance process, including identification of who will be accepting project deliverables and the process that will be usedMust have skills and experience:Required Experience and Skills: Expertise in project lifecycles, and project planning including Resource, cost, and schedule estimation Experience developing business cases Experience providing oversight and managing performance of project managers Strong facilitation skillsAdditional Requirements:PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is desired Experience planning and managing projects in a Public Sector organization is an asset Familiarity with Smartsheet is desired Must have Windows based computer with standard Windows applicationsMust have own Visio license Must possess own communication device
