The Connect 6ix consortium has a key role in this project, delivering the trains, the signaling system, and the operations, storage, and maintenance facility. Connect 6ix will also operate the Ontario Line for a 30-year term once it comes into service.Role OverviewReporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Coordinator shall be responsible for the inspecting and testing activities for the construction of specific infrastructure on the project.Role and ResponsibilitiesEnsure the implementation of ISO 9001 requirements in the field.Participate and support audits of the subcontractor quality and construction process Support to the achievement of quality field delivery in keeping with clients established goals and processes. Assist with document tracking, i.e. rebar inspections, concrete placement, compaction reports, etc. with team members and stakeholders Assist with implementation and preparation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for all construction activities.Performs on-site quality inspections in accordance with project requirementsInspects work in progress and / or completed to determine and ensure that the work complies with the standards and specificationsReview QA/QC sampling, testing of construction materials for acceptance and conformance with specifications and standards.Participated in-house audit, performed supplier audit, maintained various quality submittals of subs, including various quality management plans & processes, collected QA deliverables, compiled individual reports, and maintained monthly KPIAssists with the implementation and maintenance of quality programs as requiredAssists with the preparation and verification of various technical reports; including pre- and post-inspectionIdentifies and reports work that does not meet the quality requirementsCollaborates with the project team to determine approaches & methods to improve the overall quality of workCompletes all associated documentation and forms for individual inspectionParticipates in the development and maintenance of a cost of quality tracking systemAssist with the tracking of non-conformance reports and corrective/ preventative action requestsSkills and QualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related disciplines, or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of ISO 9001 Minimum 5 of experience in Bridge, Highway, Buildings or other major Infrastructure project constructionMinimum 5 years experience in quality assurance roleQuality certification is an assetComputer literate in MS Office (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)Familiar with inspection techniques related to the construction industryWORK ENVIRONMENTAt WeBuild, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that promotes gender equity and the recruitment of under-represented groups at all levels of our workforce.
