The Connect 6ix consortium has a key role in this project, delivering the trains, the signaling system, and the operations, storage, and maintenance facility. Connect 6ix will also operate the Ontario Line for a 30-year term once it comes into service.Role overviewThe Arch & Civil Buildings Package Manager will be responsible for the planning, procurement, execution, and overall delivery of the architectural & civils buildings package within the project. This includes overseeing the civil works (working platform, foundations, slab on grade), structural works (steel structure, roofing, decking) and architectural works (envelope, masonry works, wall partitions, finishing works and equipment) of the Operation Maintenance and Storage Facility (OMSF) of the Ontario Line project. In this role, you will coordinate with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) team to manage underground and aboveground services. It involves also ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations and standards. The role requires ensuring that subcontractors perform their work in accordance with project requirements, safety standards, and timelines, while maintaining effective coordination between engineering, procurement, and site execution teams.Role and responsibilitiesDefine and manage the scope, schedule, and budget for the Arch & Civil Buildings Package.Develop and maintain detailed work package schedules, ensuring alignment with the overall project timeline.Coordinate with the Project Manager, Engineering Team, and Procurement to ensure timely release of designs and materials for execution.Collaborate with planning teams to monitor progress and proactively address potential delays.Work closely with Procurement and Subcontracts teams to finalize contracts related to Arch & Civil Buildings work.Manage subcontractor selection, ensuring the best value while meeting quality and compliance standards.Oversee change management processes, ensuring that scope adjustments are properly documented and integrated into the project plan.Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project goals and expectations.Lead coordination meetings to address issues and ensure seamless integration with other project packages (e.g., MEP, trackwork, civil roadways, utilities).Collaborate with superintendents to manage site logistics.Monitor and enforce compliance with design requirements, construction methodologies, and safety standards.Identify potential risks and interface challenges, working proactively with the team to develop mitigation strategies.Ensure that all required shop drawings and construction documentation are available before the commencement of site work.Ensure timely completion of buildings milestones.Liaise with the Arch & Civil Project Manager and other stakeholders to provide project updates.Address and resolve any concerns raised by the project team or subcontractors.Manage RFIs, submittals, and design changes, proactively resolving conflicts. Prepare and present progress reports and updates as required.Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and quality standards.Coordinate third-party testing and inspections, ensuring that all documentation and approvals are obtained and maintained.Work closely with the HSE team to enforce safety protocols, conducting audits and implementing corrective actions when necessary.Participate actively in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety on-site.Develop and implement Mobile Equipment and Pedestrian Interface drawings as needed.Coordinate with Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and other support departments to ensure full compliance and operational efficiency.Manage subcontractors to ensure the timely submission of accurate and high-quality closeout documentation, including redline and as-built drawingsSkills and QualificationsBachelors degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Minimum of 5 to 8+ years of experience in building construction, with proven experience in the construction industry, preferably in steel structures, concrete works and rail/transportation projects.
