The RoleWe are seeking aManager of Financial Operationsto lead and optimize our finance and accounting functions in a fast-growing EdTech company. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, general accounting, partner (business) contract management, and supporting strategic new projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong financial acumen, strategic mindset, and ability to leverage technology and AI tools to improve financial processes and decision-making. Additionally, this role requires strong external presentation and negotiation skills to facilitate partnership formulation for strategic projects. (RIE) is a global education and technology provider based in Toronto, Canada, with a mission to reshape the future of worldwide education.RIE owns and operates Rosedale Global High School, which partners with international schools and government organizations to deliver the Canadian Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)program locally, using collaborative in-person programs and digital technology.Key Responsibilities1.Finance & Financial AnalysisLeadfinancial planning, budgeting, and forecastingto support business growth and strategic initiatives.Prepare and analyzemonthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights for leadership.Develop and monitorfinancial KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize financial performance.Implementautomated financial reporting toolsto enhance efficiency and decision-making.2. Accounting & ComplianceOverseegeneral accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.Ensurefinancial compliancewith GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.Lead theyear-end close processes and tax filing, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.Identify opportunities forcost efficienciesand process improvements in financial operations.Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.3. Business Contract ManagementMaintain acontract databaseensuring accuracy, compliance, and easy retrieval of agreements.Conductcontract audits and financial term validationto minimize risks and improve financial transparency.Trackcontract renewals, expirations, and financial commitmentsto ensure revenue optimization.Work closely with legal and operations teams to ensure contract terms align with financial objectives and company policies.4. Strategic Partnerships & External NegotiationsRepresent the company infinancial and strategic partnership discussionswith non-core business partners, including educational institutions and professional firmsLead financial negotiations and contract structuring forstrategic collaborationsDevelop financial models and business cases to supportpartnership proposals, ensuring alignment with company objectives.Present financial insights and partnership opportunities toexternal stakeholders, effectively communicating the companys value proposition.Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to facilitatenew project partnerships, assessing financial risks and benefits.5. New Project SupportProvidefinancial analysis and feasibility studiesfor new business initiatives, partnerships, and expansion projects.Supporttechnology and AI implementationin finance operations to improve accuracy and productivity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to developfinancial modelsfor new product launches or strategic investments.6.
