Leyton Canada is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team. As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting various human resources functions, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and providing exceptional employee support. This role combines HR expertise with office management responsibilities to ensure a smooth and engaging workplace environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and have a deep understanding of HR best practices and office management.Responsibilities:1. Recruitment and Onboarding:Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.Create and post job advertisements on relevant platforms.Conduct interviews and assess candidates' suitability for roles.Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.2. Employee Relations:Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters.Handle employee complaints, conduct investigations, and recommend appropriate actions to resolve issues.Proactively foster positive employee relations through regular communication and engagement initiatives.3. Performance Management:Assist in the implementation and administration of performance management programs.Support managers in addressing performance issues and developing performance improvement plans.4. Training and Development:Identify training needs within the organization and collaborate with the HR team and managers to design and deliver relevant training programs.Coordinate and track training activities, ensuring compliance with training requirements.Assist in the development and maintenance of an employee development plan.5. Compliance and Policy Adherence:Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied across the organization.Stay up-to-date with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, updating policies and procedures as necessary.Maintain accurate HR records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.6. Office Management:Ensure the office is well-maintained, with facilities operating smoothly and all necessary resources available for employees.Manage office supplies, liaise with cleaning and maintenance teams if required, and handle any urgent facility issues.Oversee office moves or renovations, coordinating with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions.Act as the emergency contact for office-related incidents, ensuring protocols are followed and appropriate actions are taken.7. Office Culture & Engagement:Promote and maintain a positive office culture by helping organize team-building activities, social events, and employee engagement initiatives as planned in the yearly calendar.8. Office Representative & Point of Contact:Act as the official representative of the office, ensuring alignment with company policies and serving as the liaison between office staff and senior management.Maintain open communication with the HR Director and HR team to ensure office-related concerns are addressed efficiently.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in an HR Generalist role.Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in French and English.Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in HRIS systems.If you are passionate about HR and want to contribute to a dynamic and growing company, we encourage you to apply!Why Work with Us?
