Director of Hotel Operations for a well established hotel and real estate company in British Columbia Our client company is a leading l real estate firm with a strong presence in real estate investment, development, and hospitality across Canada. As they continue to expand their portfolio, we are seeking a highly skilled Director to oversee the hotel assets in Western Canada and drive the growth of our hospitality portfolio. Position Overview: The Director of hotel operations will be responsible for managing the performance of our existing hotel assets, implementing strategies to maximize profitability, and supporting portfolio expansion efforts. This role requires a seasoned hospitality leader with expertise in asset management, financial analysis, and project execution. The successful candidate will work closely with our executive team and onsite hotel managers to enhance operational efficiencies and drive long-term success. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the performance of the companys hotel assets across Western Canada. Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction. Provide leadership and guidance to onsite hotel managers, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments. Facilitate the expansion of the hospitality portfolio through strategic planning and investment analysis. Conduct financial analysis, budget reviews, and performance forecasting to ensure sustainable growth. Lead annual performance reviews of key hotel staff, identifying opportunities for professional development and improvement. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align hotel operations with broader business objectives. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and implement best practices to enhance overall performance. Develop and maintain relationships with key industry partners, vendors, and stakeholders to drive value and growth. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in hospitality management, hotel asset management, or a related field. Proven experience in managing hotel operations and leading teams in multiple locations. Strong background in financial analysis, revenue management, and strategic planning. Experience with real estate investment and development within the hospitality sector is preferred. Hotel General Manager: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. Hotel Asset Manager: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. Experience with hotel franchises (Marriott, Choice, Hilton, etc.) will be beneficial. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to travel within Western Canada as required.
