Your New Company Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a Mining company in Calgary, AB. We are seeking a Senior Contract Specialist (Supervisor) to join their team immediately. This is a 12-month contract, full time hours, Monday to Friday. Your new role Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and providers Support the Purchasing Supervisor to lead, manage and mentor a Contracts management team to plan, deliver, and administer effective contract agreements that give value and life-cycle cost reduction for services, construction works, and indirect services on a portfolio of projects Ensure any Project Service Providers contracts function aligns with all relevant requirements, policies, industry best practices, and project-specific requirements Work with internal groups to develop, integrate and deliver best-practice project contract practices Provide advice to operations or corporate groups, and participating in corporate initiatives to improve supply management Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and work instructions Perform independent reviews of the project contract plans and performance at Stage Gates, Health Checks, or other agreed review achievements Identify, implement, and report on opportunities to improve the cost and performance of suppliers Evaluate and monitor contract performance to determine amendments, extensions, and compliance What you will need to succeed: 10+ years of relevant experience, including experience with Project Contract management, bidding and contract execution Previous supervisory experience Knowledge of and experience working in the industrial engineering, mining and construction industry Valid Class 5 Drivers License
