Summary: The Production Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing that production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and with high quality. Job Responsibilities: Develops production schedules based on factors such as customer demand, resource availability, and inventory levels. Manages resources such as workforce, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth operations, including optimizing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency. Responsible for maintaining quality standards throughout the production process. This includes implementing quality control measures, conducting inspections, and addressing any issues that may arise to ensure parts meet specifications and regulatory requirements. Ensure that safety protocols and regulations are followed in the plant to prevent accidents and injuries such as implementing safety training programs, conducting safety audits, and addressing any safety concerns promptly. Troubleshoot production problems and work to resolve issues that may impact productivity or quality. Strive for continuous improvement in production processes, seeking ways to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality, such as implementing lean manufacturing principles, adopting new technologies, or refining existing processes. Leads and motivates production teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that goals are met. This involves effective communication, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment. Responsible for managing the production budget, including monitoring costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring that production operations are financially sustainable. Job Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, or relevant progressive work experience is required. Relevant coursework in production management, operations management, quality control, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing is beneficial. Minimum 3-5 years in a relevant technical field with several years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role, with demonstrated progression and increasing levels of responsibility in operational environment. Prior experience in manufacturing or production management is highly valuable. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies. Must be adept at identifying and solving problems that arise in the production process, whether related to quality, efficiency, or safety. The ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects is important for ensuring smooth production operations. Strong ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve processes and achieve goals. Understanding quality management systems, such as ISO standards, and implementing quality control measures is essential. A mindset of continuous improvement is crucial for driving efficiency gains and process optimization in the production environment. Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to implement appropriate safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for employees.
