Job Description

The Environment Coordinator works directly with IT clients to analyze complex business problems and develops solutions to these problems. The Environment Coordinator often leads a project or is a team leader on a larger, more significant IT project, and could also be a team lead of a production support team. The Environment Coordinator works directly with project managers, technical architects, business analysts and quality assurance teams to analyze complex business problems and develops solutions related to configuration management, project processes, and the coordination of the non-production IT infrastructure resources (Development, Test, Training and Production Support environments). The position is responsible for the coordination of all corporate projects testing, test plans and transition to go-live. Responsibilities Conduct regular meetings with the Nova project delivery manager, release managers, project, and test teams. Coordinate the usage and allocation of MPI non-production application environments, including server resources, by multiple projects and releases. Work with architects and stakeholders to define and integrate non-production technical environments (example Dev, SIT, UAT, Training, and Prodsup). Liaise and communicate with all levels of MPI management, project teams, and test teams to coordinate efforts. Work with the Nova project delivery manager, release and project managers in the scheduling of project releases. Identify and mitigate project risks due to environment constrains and joint multi-project releases. Work with business and project managers, technical leads, and test teams to clarify test requirements, evaluate options and provide estimates. Identify and addresses environment issues for complex overlapping projects release activities, (eg. sharing of environments, testing activities and batch executions). Identify and addresses code overlaps for joint multi-projects release. Provide leadership and mentorship for the Nova release test coordinator. Responsible for establishing, maintaining and documenting a configuration baseline for each test environment. Ensure configurations changes are controlled and propagated as controlled releases though the non-production environments using corporate standards and approval processes. Qualifications Education: Diploma in Computer Programming, Computer Science, or related IT discipline Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations certificate is an asset. Experience: Eight years of related progressively complex systems analysis and design experience, including: Three years are in programming Two years are supporting enterprise packages Two years in a project planning and/or leadership capacity an asset. Technical Knowledge and Skills: Experience in multi-application environment coordination Experience in SaaS environment trouble shooting (such as DCOD, Celtic, MS Dynamics, MuleSoft) Strong problem-solving skills in identifying rook cause of environmental problems Experience in environmental configuration with experience in Database config, UNIX batch, $U, .Net web services
