SUMMARY: The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing a sales plan for assigned accounts, coordinating customer orders from order entry to fulfillment to provide exceptional customer service. KEY OBJECTIVES Organize, plan, develop and monitor sales to all assigned key accounts with a focus on increasing sales and profitability of existing clients, together with generating new business/customers with support from the Sales Director; Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue for key accounts including programs and promotions; Develop an in-depth understanding of Westbrook Greenhouses products and stay updated on industry trends, competitors and market conditions; Maintain relationships with accounts through rapport building and regular customer contact by face to face meetings, phone calls and online communication channels; Assist with coordination of customer orders including entering purchase orders as needed, responding to customer enquiries, and assisting customers to resolve issues and queries; Travel as required to visit customers, attend trade shows, etc. Tour greenhouses regularly to monitor and understand crop status, quality; Prepare and execute proposals, power point presentations, pricing, sample orders, etc.; Follow up on customer issues, credits, inquiries to resolve quickly and ensure customer satisfaction; Continually strive to increase revenue and profitability of assigned accounts. QUALIFICATIONS Post secondary degree/diploma in Business or a related field; Minimum 2 years in sales; Prior experience in the floral industry an asset; Class G drivers license and access to a car. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Excellent communication and relationship building skills; Ability to drive new business and hunt for new customers; Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trend information Strong ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other departments; Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines; High degree of accuracy and attention to detail; Strong organizational/time management skills; Moderate to advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
