About the Company: Our client, a well-established and dynamic law firm located in Toronto, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their team. Responsibilities:Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation files, including contract disputes, business torts, partnership and shareholder disputes, and other commercial matters.Provide strategic legal advice and develop case strategies for clients, ensuring their best interests are represented.Represent clients in court and at tribunals, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.Conduct legal research and provide analysis of emerging legal trends and issues.Work closely with senior counsel, clients, and experts to prepare for hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.Attend client meetings, providing regular updates on case progress and advising on next steps.Contribute to the development of the firms business by fostering client relationships and participating in business development initiatives.Requirements:A law degree from an accredited law school.A minimum of two years of post-call experience in commercial litigation or a related field.Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex legal arguments.Demonstrated experience managing a diverse caseload, including appearing in court and preparing legal documents.Strong analytical and research skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.A client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.Membership in the Law Society of Ontario.Compensation:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package.
