This role requires strong technical expertise in automation, PLC programming, and customer service skills to ensure successful project delivery.Responsibilities: Install, set up, and troubleshoot automated grade marking, coding, and printing systemsContribute to the development of new system concepts or the optimization of existing equipmentParticipate in tests according to customer project specifications using hand tools, power tools, or precision instrumentsRead and interpret engineered drawings and equipment specificationsPerform project quality control checkout procedures and troubleshoot identified issuesProvide customer training upon completion of on-site commissioningCommunicate professionally and courteously with customersDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical, mechanical, and application issues on industrial machine linesQualifications: Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)Education: Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Engineering Technologist, Trades certification, or College equivalentAt least 5 years of experience in automation within a manufacturing/industrial environmentGood knowledge and experience in PLC Programming Logic (Allen Bradley)Knowledge of industrial networking to integrate systems into customer processes and communication protocolsExperience with customer service in the field and over the phoneStrong knowledge of electrical assembly, pneumatics, and PLCsGood understanding of technical parts, machines, and electrical schematicsExposure to basic scanning and vision systemsExperience with inkjet coding and lumber grade marking systems is a significant assetAbility to travel to client sites in the US, Quebec, and Ontario (25-30%)
