The area is internationally recognized as a four-season recreation destination that offers a high-quality lifestyle with an emphasis on health, fitness, and a love of the outdoors.We are currently SEEKING a dynamic leader to guide our Team at the Thornbury plant location as.ABOUT THE POSITIONManages and directs the activities of entire designated site. Responsible for all operational and P&L aspects of the site as it relates to meeting the goals and objectives of the company. Adheres to and leads the organization guided by the Companys Mission, Vision, and Core Values.Deliverables & ResponsibilitiesMotivates and develops skills of managerial personnel to foster productivity, growth and higher morale, through a team environment.Develop strategies with the leadership team in order to service our customers, achieve strategic initiatives, and improve products and services. Lead annual strategic business planning exercise. Manage resources at the site to ensure that annual financial goals are achieved.Identify ways to remove barriers and initiate operational improvements so associates can better meet client expectationsReview production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specification of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.Oversee production operation, man hours, and establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.Coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications and customer satisfaction.Review production and operating budgets and assist with the resolution of operational delays due to manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.Work with the human resource manager to develop manpower requirements to support the overall operation.Support and measure improvement initiatives in the manufacturing areas to include lean manufacturing initiatives, 5-S, QED, quality improvement programs, ASP initiative and S&OP process.Performs regular performance appraisal evaluations of direct reports and ensures department heads are supported and held accountable for meeting departmental objectives.Attend work order and sales order meetings for all orders.Oversee time studies and gather data for operational efficiency issues.Responsible for and encourages a safe and healthful work environment throughout the company.Perform other duties as assigned.To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:A degree in Engineering or a related field, such as business is preferred.A minimum of 10 years of career experience in operations, management or functional support role, including a minimum of five years in a leadership position.Strong and proven background in heavy equipment plant operations.Ability to work well as a team player with all levels of employees required.Excellent oral communication skills required, to include ability to chair meetings, make presentations, and conduct training classes.Ability to write reports, memos, business correspondence, and procedure manuals required.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and process manuals required.Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations required.We offer an excellent work environment that promotes teamwork and a positive work / life balance along with the following company paid health and wellness benefits: Prescription drug card,Extended health care including physiotherapy, chiropractor, massage therapy, naturopath, psychologist, psychotherapy, Eye exams and prescription eyewear,Travel insurance,OrthoticsGenerous dental benefits, including cleaning, filings, orthodontic, accidental injury, crowns, bridges,Employee Assistance Program (EAP),$350.00 Annual Health Care Spending account,AD&D, Life Insurance,Short Term DisabilityAn excellent Registered Retirement Savings Plan.
