We acknowledge and empower cultural diversity and we develop and implement innovative opportunities while responding to changing environments.THE POSITIONThe Vice-President, Student Services & Engagement is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of all student support, engagement, and related service initiatives at Northlands College. Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice-President, Student Services & Engagement, drives the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of student programs and services, including those focused on Indigenous engagement that promote student success, retention, and overall well-being. As a member of the executive leadership team, the VP collaborates closely with internal academic and administrative leaders, external community partners, and Indigenous stakeholders to align student services with the Colleges strategic vision and operational goals.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE We recognize that no single candidate will possess all of the following qualifications equally. In partnership with executive leadership, they will develop and execute operational plans and budgets that support and enhance student services, aligning them with broader institutional goals including Indigenous engagement and cultural responsiveness. The candidate will oversee policy formulation and compliance, serving as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, while advocating for initiatives that expand funding and support. With strong human resource and staff development skills, they will be responsible for recruitment, retention, and professional growth of the student services team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Additionally, they will manage financial oversight by efficiently allocating resources, monitoring performance, and guiding programs like student loans and scholarships.
