The Opportunity:ML6 is pleased to be partnering with a leading specialty ingredients provider in their search for a Human Resources Manager to join their team on a 15 month contract. This is a highly visible, executive-level role that will play a critical part in shaping the organization's culture, HR infrastructure, and strategic initiatives. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), you will drive HR strategy, ensure compliance, and support employee engagement, performance management, and workforce planning.What You'll Be Doing:Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, focusing on organizational structure, staffing needs, and talent retention.Implement and manage HR policies, ensuring compliance with Canadian and US labour laws and industry best practices.Lead initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture, improving employee engagement, morale, and retention.Oversee recruitment and selection processes, ensuring the hiring of diverse and qualified candidates.Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary benchmarking and annual renewal processes.Develop and oversee performance management and employee recognition programs.Ensure HR administrative processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and data management, are maintained effectively.Lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee Meetings and oversee HSE initiatives.Organize and coordinate internal events such as quarterly Town Halls and employee engagement activities.What You'll Need To Be Successful:Post-graduate education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a management or HR business partnership role.Strong knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, and compliance regulations across Canada and the US.Proven experience in strategic HR leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex HR issues with professionalism and confidentiality.Experience managing HR software systems (HRIS, performance management tools) and analyzing HR data.M&A integration experience is considered an asset.
