POSITION MANDATEThis position leads the Human Resources function for the Team Power Solutions group of companies. The role is responsible for developing and delivering all aspects of the People Plan for the organization including:Workforce planning and recruitingLearning and developmentPerformance managementCompensation, benefits, and wellness programsEngagement and retentionEmployee experienceOrganizational designThe position also partners with other business units across the organization to help them build and develop their teams, make effective people-related decisions based on data and organizational alignment, and establish strong communication channels across all of our business units and locations.WHAT YOU WILL DOLead the Human Resources team, ensuring that it operates effectively and executes on goalsProvide mentorship, guidance, and support to the Human Resources teamWork with leadership and the Human Resources team to build and execute the long-term strategy for Human Resources, and clearly articulates a broadly understood vision for the Human Resources functionHelp maintain our vision, mission, and values and ensure that all Human Resources decisions, programs, and processes align with our overall strategy and core valuesPrepare workforce plans, policies & procedures, and organizational design that support business goalsMaintain company-wide performance management programs that encourage a high-performance team and drives continuous, transparent feedback across the organizationEnsure appropriate learning and development programs are in place that support growth across our people, support retention, and prepare high-potential employees for management and leadership rolesPartner with other leaders to understand and anticipate hiring and skillset needs, and develop and execute plans to ensure the right resources are in place to deliver on objectives across the organizationLead the recruitment function to ensure effective hiring of top talent for the organization aligned with workforce plans and objectives, help drive employer branding initiatives that enhance market awareness for Team Power Solutions as a top employerEnsure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, state, and local laws and employment regulations and provide guidance to other leaders on relevant requirementsProvide advice and input to senior leadership on Human Resources risk management and relevant mitigation strategies. When needed, collaborate with legal counsel regarding employment matters and compliance with regulationsPrepare and maintain the budget for all Human Resources expenditures across the organizationPrepare, analyze, and report on Human Resources metrics across the organization that support effective planning and decision-makingPositively promote and support the company safety program and help to ensure adherence to all safety requirements across the organizationEnsure the development and maintenance of systems and databases that efficiently track relevant Human Resources information and metricsKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORSEmployee engagement and satisfaction scoresEmployee retention ratesRecruitment time to hireInternal progression ratesProductivity and labour efficiencyWorkforce diversity measuresWHO YOU AREHighly motivated, proactive, and enthusiasticExtremely passionate about your workInteractive and eager to work in collaboration with other team members across an organizationVery organized with strong project planning and execution skills, as well as the ability to continually drive process improvementDependable and trustworthy - you dont cut corners, you do what is right and use your own judgment in a sound mannerBe an engaged communicator, focused and driven with a keen sense of purpose and urgencyBig picture strategic thinker, and execution oriented team leader that is also willing to roll up your sleeves to get things doneWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM10+ years experience in Human Resources or recruitment roles5+ years experience leading the Human Resources or recruitment function at a medium sized companyDegree in human resources, business, or a related fieldA Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an assetProven success delivering high-impact programs around performance management, compensation, team engagement, and retentionHigh degree of confidentiality and professional judgmentProven ability to inspire, engage, and motivate teams to achieve results and successExperience implementing effective talent acquisition programs and building employer branding strategiesOutstanding EQ, interpersonal, and communication skillsTrack record of building and enforcing company cultureStrong knowledge and understanding of Canadian and US employment legislation, HR policies and best practicesKnowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, HRIS systems such as Ceridian Dayforce, and leading Human Resources management tools an asset
